Vilapouca House
Situated in rural surroundings and great sun exposure, we tried to create a relationship between the house and the land in order to optimize the topographic irregularity.
The solution aimed to establish a close relationship with the construction and the land, through the organization of two separate volumes, defining two platforms with different dimensions characterizing the volumetric solution.
The Access is made in the high quota by a route drawn between wooded gardens revealing the building. In low quota opens up a large garden with a more private and peaceful character, where the whole house opens, creating a relationship of visual and physical continuity between the exterior and interior.
The House is organized on two floors. On the ground floor the whole social area and the private area in the upper floor, using an architectural concept of functional space with great fluidity.
