Vale dos Esquilos

This residential development of 52 single-family homes is set in a predominantly rural environment, rich in natural beauty and landscape value. The defined urban layout strongly respects the site’s topography, as well as the areas with higher vegetation density, where Chestnut, Oak, and Pine trees predominate — always preserved whenever they did not conflict with the planned constructions.

The subdivision of the land into plots was designed to align with market demand, ensuring a building model that provides privacy and appropriate solar exposure. The roads are developed between stone walls, which give the site character and strength, maintaining the typically rural philosophy of the region.

Five housing models were studied for the site, each adapted to the specific characteristics of the land, in order to create harmony between them and minimize interference with the natural environment.
